Frequently asked

Do I need prior firefighting experience?

No. We provide all required training for volunteers. Career positions typically require certification — but we will tell you exactly what we expect before you apply.

How many hours do volunteers serve?

It varies. Some volunteers serve a couple hours a week on duty rotations; others are available for any call. We work with whatever you can offer.

What is the application process?

Submit the form on the application page. The chief will review and reach out to schedule a conversation. From there we discuss background, training, and onboarding.

Is there an age requirement?

Applicants must be 18 or older. Junior firefighter programs may be available — call the station to ask.
